Drive south-west from Canberra’s city centre via the Tuggeranong Parkway and exit onto Hindmarsh Drive, then follow local roads into Weston. Street parking is available near the base of several informal trails; no formal visitor centre exists. Cyclists can reach the hill via the extensive network of dedicated paths that connect Weston Creek with the rest of the capital. Public transport users can take buses to nearby stops on Hindmarsh Drive and walk the remaining short distance.
Spring (September–November) brings wildflowers and mild temperatures ideal for walking. Autumn (March–May) offers crisp air and fewer insects. Summer walks are best started early to avoid heat; winter mornings can be frosty but reward with clear, still views. Always carry water and sun protection regardless of season.
