Best Time to Go

November through February brings cooler temperatures and calmer waters, ideal for walking the beaches and cycling the narrow village paths. March to May can be hot and humid, while the June–October monsoon turns many tracks into mud and increases the risk of cyclones. Winter also coincides with the main fishing season, so fresh catch is plentiful.
