Getting There

Most visitors approach from the N-634 coastal road. Park near the small hamlets of Berbes or Vega de Ribadesella and follow well-marked paths that begin on quiet country lanes before entering open pasture and then steeper rocky sections. Public transport reaches nearby villages, but a car offers the most flexibility for early starts and flexible return times.

Trail Options

• The main route climbs steadily through mixed woodland and limestone outcrops, reaching the summit in roughly two to three hours one way.
• A longer loop descends the far side toward the Río Sella valley before returning via a different ridge.
