The most reliable access begins from the village of Pietracamela, roughly 30 minutes by car from the A24 motorway exit at Teramo. From the village square, a narrow paved road climbs toward the Fosso del Diavolo parking area; beyond that point only footpaths continue. Public transport is limited, so visitors without a car usually arrange a taxi from nearby towns such as Isola del Gran Sasso or Campotosto. The final approach involves 400–500 metres of elevation gain on well-marked but steep paths.
